Manuel Frederico Vianna
Mr. Vianna brings 35 years of experience in investment management and corporate development to his role at GPB Capital. Mr. Vianna is responsible for formulating the strategy, sourcing, structuring, closing, and monitoring of potential acquisitions.
Prior to joining GPB Capital, he worked for 20 years at Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), a fast-growing multinational strategy consulting and investment firm where he worked initially as a management consultant, helping companies develop and execute their business strategy and growth plans to maximize value creation. Mr. Vianna managed the hedge fund affiliated with the firm, a fundamental research-based, long/short equities fund. Additionally, he was active in the firm’s private equity business, helping establish its foothold in Brazil and negotiating private equity M&A deals in China.
Mr. Vianna has significant line management experience, including as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of a leading cell therapy company, CEO of a trading company, CFO of a software company, and has managed costing and pricing of lubricants for Shell Oil.
Mr. Vianna has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
