Mr. Myrianthopoulos is responsible for sourcing, structuring and closing loans for GPB Capital’s Debt Strategies. He brings 20 years of experience as an investment banker, C-level executive, and money manager to his role. He is known for his strength in identifying, financing, developing, managing and publicly exiting emerging biotechnology and other growth oriented investments.
Prior to GPB Capital, Mr. Myrianthopoulos was Managing Director and Head of Life Science Investment Banking at Aegis Capital Corp. Prior to joining Aegis, Mr. Myrianthopoulos served as Chief Financial Officer and Board Director of Soligenix, Inc., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company. Mr. Myrianthopoulos was also Founder, Chief Operating Officer, CFO and Board Director of Discovery Laboratories, Inc., a biotech company founded to develop pediatric orphan drugs licensed from Johnson & Johnson. During his tenures at Soligenix and Discovery, Mr. Myrianthopoulos led 17 financings totaling over $150M in proceeds, four company acquisitions, and 13 licensing deals.
Mr. Myrianthopoulos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Emory University.
